MyWash Conditions of Use
Intended Use
MyWash facilities offer wash services designed to aid in the overarching exterior maintenance cleaning of factory stock vehicles. It is presumed that all vehicles are free of defects, in proper working condition, and that all exterior surfaces, components, and accessories have been maintained in conformity with their OEM standards.
Patron Responsibilities
Patrons are responsible for the following and are liable to damages incurred by MyWash or other Patrons if not followed:
- Ensuring that truck beds are completely empty (including tools, debris, and cargo)
- Removing hitches
- Remaining distraction free and entering the tunnel slowly at a walking pace
- Avoiding driver negligence (vehicles are to remain in neutral while on the conveyor belt)
- Retracting electric mirrors, electric antennas, and running boards
- Adhering to all posted signs, attendant hand signals, and automated instruction boards
Use at Own Risk
MyWash assumes liability solely for damages resulting directly from equipment malfunctions or actions of MyWash staff. Patrons utilize MyWash services at their own risk and accept full responsibility for any potential damages incurred. All claims regarding damages must be submitted same day before leaving the premises. By utilizing MyWash services, patrons acknowledge and agree to these conditions.
Warnings
MyWash facilities employ a combination of water, air, chemicals, and automated mechanical agitation on vehicles. The following conditions, components, and accessories may present an elevated risk for vehicle damage or customer dissatisfaction:
- Vehicles outside the base manufacturer’s warranty period or greater than 5 years old
- All non-factory-installed accessories
- Loose or free-moving items (e.g., trim, wipers, mirrors, rails, mudflaps)
- Racks of any kind (e.g., roof, bike, hitch)
- Aftermarket wheels (including those that extend beyond fenders) and extended valve stems
- Excessively muddy, dirty, or contaminated vehicles
- Previous bodywork, pre-existing or latent conditions/defects
- Moon roofs, sunroofs, glass, and side mirror inserts
- Existing chips in glass that may expand
- Previous paint defects and defects arising from inadequate maintenance of paint or clear coat (e.g., surface marring, halo-scratches, holograms, etching)
- All types of antennas (removal is recommended if possible)
